ORIGINAL HAIKU
By Monica E. Smith
clouds hide the sun
cold rains begin
geese flying southward
silvery moon ascends
shrinking shadows
midnight
water's edge
shimmering reflections
night approaching
cat tail twitches
mouse startles
cat now alone
ripples far-reaching
concentric waves
soundless
frost on the window pane
table's reflection
lace-covered
emerging sun
raindrops vanish
budding trees
gentle winds
blow and cool
summer's radiant heat
