Dear
All,
It
is my privilege to announce MAYTAG
HEIGHTS, a collection
of poems (concerning homelessness and its causes and
effects on our society) from the USA, Israel and
Singapore. Featured in this 56- page book is Monica E.
Smith, among
various other poets. The book is edited by RD Armstrong,
of Lummox\ Publications
(also a contributor).
MAYTAG
HEIGHTS is poets raising money for HABITAT FOR HUMANITYof
LONG BEACH, CA--a minimum of 25% of sales will go
directly to Habitat. Habitat For Humanity is an
organization which helps first-time home owners
“build” their dream houses... people who would
never be able to afford (or even qualify for ) a loan to
buy a house in which to raise their families. It is a
nation-wide organization established over twenty years
ago, which has built over 1000 homes and is supported by
donations and fund-raisers like this. Habitat for
Humanity has gained the support of such celebrities as
Oprah Winfrey and former president Jimmy Carter.
MAYTAG
HEIGHTS can be
purchased through the mail for $6.00 (includes postage
and handling) from Lummox Press – POB 5301 San
Pedro, CA 90733-5301
